A year at our school

GEM Day at Toronto Public School celebrates Gratitude, Empathy, and Mindfulness through activities like journaling, art, and community-building. It fosters student wellbeing, emotional resilience, and a sense of belonging.

As part of our ongoing commitment to truth and reconciliation, Toronto Public School takes part in the annual Reconciliation Walk to honour the experiences of Indigenous peoples and promote learning rooted in respect, empathy, and action.

Showcase Assemblies at Toronto Public School are fun events where community are invited to see the students showcase their talents and hard work. These assemblies help build confidence, celebrate diversity, and bring the school community together in a positive and exciting way.

At Toronto Public School, the Cooking Program gives students a fun way to learn important life skills. Students work together to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and cook tasty meals. They also learn about healthy eating and kitchen safety. The cooking program helps students build confidence, work as a team, and enjoy learning through food.

Gardening Club is a great way for students to connect with nature. Students plant seeds, water plants, and take care of the school garden. They grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers. As they work, they learn about the environment, teamwork, and how food grows. Gardening helps students feel calm, proud, and more connected to the earth.

Book week is always a fun and exciting celebration at Toronto Public School. Students and staff express their love of reading as they dress up as some of their favourite book characters and parade for family and community members.
